Banks Rules

It doesn't matter if you use 9 or 15 balls, if you use 9 the 1st player to sink 5 wins if 15 1st player to 8 wins. It is a call ball & pocket game with 1 exception; only 1 ball clean banks count. So you can't "combo bank", play off another ball, carom bank or the like you must contact 1 ball 1st and THAT ball must go in a designated pocket without touching any other ball on the way there; the CB may contact other balls afterward but the object that was designated can't. If a ball is not pocketed legaly it is spotted, all fouls are the cost of 1 ball; scratches are in the kitchen. It has the clearest and simplest rules of any game.

Do you owe balls if you have not pocketed anything yet?

Usually, yes.
