Let's make sure we are testing where the cueball hits the rail, not where it end up on the table. Side-spin would affect where the cueball ends up, but where it hits the side rail should be pretty much all draw, if we don't count the fact you can throw the ball in with spin and get a fuller hit, allowing you to hit higher up on the rail.

cannonball spent some time with me showing me shots one day

he could shoot a spot shot from the plav=ce where one normally shoots it near the left rail and back
cut it in the left corner with draw and snatch judy to the side rail

Tommy Rey came by and hit a bunch of shots,he smiled and said it was the easiest cue to draw he ever saw
he said it was really something, you can hit easy shots and draw the ball so nicely, effortlessly even

He only shot one spot shot and drew Judy to the side and near the spot

saying this was much better than he had experienced before

Sounds about like this: the best I could get out of the Virtual Pool simulation, hitting as full as possible with maximum draw and optimum (not maximum) speed. I assume there's nothing special about this simulated cue.

I have seen Earl Strickland shoot that shot decades ago, but once the cue ball drew over to the side rail it came off that rail and all the way back up table and hit the end rail. He claimed at the time the shot could only be done with a Meucci. I saw Scotty Townsend rent a table and shoot that shot all night long with his Schon until he could make it part of the time. Scotty always shot more for pride than money.

Whatever you can do with that cue, I assure you, I can do with mine.

Mark Griffin.and Don Owen came by and neither one of us could draw the ball.

I am embarrassed to say that the draw stick is not performing anywhere near what I remember

I did draw better than with other cues ,but just a little better

I deserve a few bronx cheers

Don owns OB CUES and was speaking very optimistic words about
the future of OB

I think Mark has been encouraging him and helping with good advice.

I hope OB recovers from some growing pains and loss of important people

There are always ups and downs with everything,so lets hope OB
does well.

There's no such thing as a "draw stick" like there's no such thing as a left handed baseball bat.

We need to ban draw sticks! They’re cheapening the game by allowing an apa 3 to draw 3 table lengths with ease.

Play a good safe and Oh here comes the draw stick! They draw right out of it when you know you’d get BIH if they didn’t have one. It’s garbage.

I was ok with the wood draw sticks, its when they came out with carbon fiber that crossed the line.

this cue was a normal sneaky pete
that applied so much draw english that it got the nick name"the draw cue"

after 25 years perhaps my memory exaggerated its results or it lost something

or of course Don and Mark couldn't hit the cue ball below center

continue to have your kicks,i deserve some abuse

Today 3 old fellas with over 225 years between them
gathered to test the draw cue and reminisce over old times

Left to right Mark Griffin of Griffs lately,, DeanO of no particular
note and Don Owen of OB cues

With any luck at all you would have expected one of these 3 to draw
the cue ball at least a few feet but age took its toll, the famous draw cue
failed to perform It might have been better but no one was absolutely hitting
the cue ball below center

OB cues is in a position to take off, financing ,a large announcement and a few
great ideas that are not yet ready for public release just yet

Great tournaments and special matches are scheduled for Griffs in Las Vegas,
if you haven't been there yet maybe you ought to go

The great games that thrill and entertain you guys to hear about will come to life once again.

Sure Bugs,Ronnie "fast eddie" Allen, Eddie Kelly,Eddie Taylor ,San Jose Dick,UJ, and Hawaiian
Brian may no longer be with us But there are games played everyday at Griffs with action to rival
the very best glory days.

You can read about Johnson City, and wish you were part of history or go to Vegas practically any day
of the week and make your own history at Griffs, the best pool room in the world

You should have heard Mark talking about the Glenn Collection, he says it is worth the price of the trip
,perhaps pool will get their own hall of fame. See Willie Mosconi's cue that he ran 526 with along with another
few hundred famous cues owned and played by the greatest players of their time

Larry Vigus is coming to examine the draw cue tomorrow from a cue makers point of view, but what we really
need is Mike Massey or at least someone with a stroke

POOL IS NOT DEAD.

Come to Griffs, bring your cue and enjoy life at full throttle

There's no such thing as a "draw stick" like there's no such thing as a left handed baseball bat.

I’ve had one pool cue and one snooker cue that I could draw a lot farther than all the
other cues I’ve owned.
This is empirical knowledge...can’t tell you why.

I’ve also had cues that lay on their backs with all four paws in the air when a power draw
shot was attempted.
