Looks like an Adam to me, maybe Jayman can help?

I don't see it in my catalogs.

I also checked the Eckes catalog...not there.

Definitely looks like an Adam but I couldn't find it in any of my catalogs either. Mid-Late 70's I would guess.

I had it pegged as an Adam too with that joint screw but haven't seen one like it from any of the brochures

Adam made cues for other brands like Palmer. Obviously not a Palmer.

That's why I checked my Eckes catalog. Eckes made their own cues but later imported Adam cues, like Palmer. I have their later catalog.

There were others.

In addition Adam themselves distributed under several brand names.

Hopefully Jayman will chime in.

Everything looks Adam, except for one thing: the buttsleeve and buttcap.

I don't recall an Adam with rings over the buttcap, part of the sleeve, and a buttcap that small in length.

A good mystery.

All the best,

Adam cues with rings over the buttcap and short buttcap.

Yep, I've seen those. Much thinner ring collections above the buttsleeve, the buttcap looks to be longer than the OP's, and the OP's buttsleeve is much longer than those pictures.

I can't say that it's not an Adam, as it may be. But, I can't say that it necessarily is, given the pictures.

All the best,
WW

I get what you are saying.

I do wonder as well.

I don't want to get stuck saying it is Adam. That was just a first impression.

Mali made similar cues...and so have others.

I would like to see better pics of the ends of the joint. Is it piloted? What does it look like? What kind of insert?

Possibly one of the early Gandy cues?

Interesting notion.

National/Gandy.

That's one of the reasons I want to see the insert/joint faces.

It does not look like any of the known models, but it is interesting to consider and is not ruled out.

I'm pretty sure the shaft has been replaced so that probably won't help. Another thing is the veneers in the points are perfectly centered and the points are dead even in length which Adam wasn't really known for back in the day.

This cue has come up before, Adam said they built it but the inlays were added by someone else.

Inlays added later. It does happen, doesn't it? But, I'm not sure I've seen that long a buttsleeve in an Adam.

I was hoping to hear from you.

Makes sense to me.

Cue was a blank.

Inlays added and cue rebranded.

Numerous did that with Adam cues.

Well thanks to everyone for the input, now I know. I picked it up in a trade about 30 years ago and really had no idea other than it kinda had an Adam look
