Alton , I was so pleased to get your message, I hope we get the chance to work together .
This Paul Dayton cue is very special to me as Paul was my Mentor in cue making.
He would come up from Florida 2 or 3 times a year and when we were apart he or I would call a few times a week.

He is gone now and words cannot explain how much I miss him.
He made me this cue as a gift and I always wanted a set of joint protectors but
he said there’s a guy on AZ who does that now get them from him. I’m sure he meant you . Ray Weeks

Ray, :)
Such a heartfelt message for a personal friend's passing.
I was trying , and hope, that the late Paul Dayton :( , would have expressed himself in the Commemorative JP set presented.
Thank You for the honor and thinking Paul meant me , as the guy to get the JP's from.. :)

Thank You Ray,
Thank You all, for viewing,
Alton

Note: I screwed up on the arch Spears..
And, that Crenelated Bezel is too big for this supposedly "simplistic" style to match Paul's "Old School" looks..
And, the flawed shaft cap in the bottom Conner is a spare.. You can have that free.. :sorry:
Message sent

Amazing Work

Alton,
Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication. Your talent and generosity does not go unnoticed. It has been a wish of mine to memorialize Paul's work and what he's meant to me. These caps are a true work of art, something Paul would have been proud to see. Thank you again for your dedication to a delicate and intricate art form. I could want nothing more to remember him by.
Very truly yours.................Ray Weeks

Ray,
Glad you like the Cue Cap Set.. :grin-loving:

It is those times, when you sit alone, and think of all the memories of your past, and, the people who passed, and what they mean't to you. :embarrassed2:
