I ran across this Joss cue on the Billiards.Com website. Seems a low price for a Joss to me. Even if some do indeed consider Joss a combination of a custom/production cue company. Plus I don't see any JOSS name imprinted on the cue anywhere.

So, whats the deal here? Is this really and truly a Joss cue? Or a knockoff at a lower price? Did Danny Janes indeed make this cue?

If you really want to make sure it's a joss, ask the seller for the serial number stamped into the stainless steel joint of the butt.
No serial number, no Joss. You could even send a email to joss with the serial number and in time, confirm it's a cue they
made matching the cue description.

$407 is not cheap for a Joss.
Theres nothing special about them.
They are just another production cue company mass producing.

Well, they must be doing something right because some pros have played with Joss cues in the past. Such as Ralf Souquet.

I didn't mean to imply that Joss makes a bad cue.
Just not a high end cue.
A lot of pros played with the POS Meuccis also.
And I had a self destructing mid '80's Meucci.
Great playing cheap cue until it fell apart.
Lots of plastic and little glue.

Joss. I see one posted on Sioux City Iowa craigslist 3 days ago for 225.00 or B.O. that still looks new. Exact same model.
