i never look at the main page, will the forum change any?

Awesome. I hope google links into the mobile version takes you to your intended destination and not redirected to the mobile home page every time.

Yes, no more of my fake mobile pages. Those are awful, and I didn’t consider the ramifications of bouncing phones to those pages no matter what page they came in on.

Does V 5.0 support the itrader system that is currently in place? A site I used to frequent went from V bulletin 3.8.9(same as you run) to 5.6.2 and they couldn't get some of the function/add ons to work like the rep system.

Agree. That would be great!
Stuff like auto sizing and trader is still the forums. I am working on the redesign of the main site.
As far as the forums though, I am looking at Xenforo and it should resolve the auto resizing issue and has a plugin for itrader that will import all of our existing entries.
I wouldn't really want to migrate the forums to something that didn't work with itrader and vbookie (even though I have been lazy for way too long with that).

I think neither. I’d look at it like this...
