New Carbide Mandrels

Here is the latest batch of carbide sanding mandrels. The design is fully refined and perfected. Those are all
Made with stainless steel body and the highest grade of American made Tungsten Carbide tubing sleeve
Those come with money garauntee.
I started out with a small batch.
I have 3 sets of radial, 3 sets of 3/8-10, 3 sets of 3/8-11, and 3 sets of 3/8-10 (0.308" minor)
All made from one piece stainless, and all machined with one pass for maximum accuracy, both male and female threads are live threaded into the stainless bodies.
Those sets will be sold for $290 each and $540 for 2 sets

The ones in the pictures are at finished size and were shipped out last week, all the ones I have left are pre ground to 0.860" and will be custom ground per customers specification. You can get a set at 0.850" any time, once those 12 sets are sold, I will be making 30 more sets. Now that I truly believe that the parts will be build the way I want and since I really trust this guy that he will do the best job is is capable of doing, he's only been a machinist for 36 years. Sanding mandrels will always be a stock item and always ground to order.

Well I know that we can taper them now, but since they are going to be ground as a set, I am not sure 100% if he can do selective tapering on one side only, it sounds doable, but will need to verify that for sure

Here are couple of my new sanding mandrel batch, with all stainless steel body and the grinding was all done on my new OD grinder done all between centers as a set, the measured runout on the OD grinder is 0.00015". All the set that I made so far are perfect.
I currently have 3 sets of 3/8-10 (.308" barrel) ready to ship
I will sell 2 as a set 0.837" and 0.845" and the third set 0.838"
Those 3 sets are discounted from $295 to $275 shipped, if you buy 2 sets together $510 shipped
All other orders standard retail price applies $295 per set and $540 for 2 sets.
Sizes in stock ready to grind to size are 3/8-10 (regular an 0.308") 3/8-11, Radial, and 5/16-14
