Question FROZEN BALL CHALLENGE ... Can You Pocket Every Combination of the Three Balls? - 11-20-2019, 07:27 AM

As a follow-up to my recent Top 10 PROPOSITION SHOTS (that all pool players should know) video, check out the follow video:

FROZEN BALL CHALLENGE ... Can You Pocket Every Combination of the Three Balls?

It demonstrates how to pocket every combination of three balls (1-9-3) frozen to a cushion (1, 3, 9, 1&3, 1&9, 3&9, 1&3&9).

Some of my shots are illegal push shots. Can you make all of the shots with legal hits instead? If so, post a video if possible. If not, describe what you think are the best options.

I look forward to your suggestions and videos,
Dave

I havent tried any of these but appreciate the time and effort you put into these.

Now if you could post up how to make a "ace" in 3 ball that would be of considerable value to many!

Of course a "ace" on both the triangle and line up racks

A bull without horns is still dangerous.

Law of logical arguement-Anything is possible when you dont know what you are talking about.

I couldn't get it to work on my table, but I show how to do it for the standard triangle rack in the following video:

YouTube user Dan Hosier just posted some interesting legal and creative shots:

3 only:
- timing kick shot - https://youtu.be/trdJV3v2wi4
9 only:
- clear the 1 to kick in the 9 - https://youtu.be/5At-nqWVa0I
- "slight foul" - https://youtu.be/p5dB_1QFpjI
1 and 3:
- back-bank of 1 in side from the rail - https://youtu.be/BvKPYP-kO2g

Check them out, and let us know if you have other/better ideas.

Thanks,

This is a good shot to demonstrate backing a ball up from two frozen balls.

Agreed. I'm not sure I would have thought of that one (unless I discovered it by mistake while trying other stuff).

Dave

Thanx, Doc
Iíve never played 3-ball....but Iíve won some money at it.
...eight-handed game....I started laying 50-1 on making all three on the break.
Got a lot of action, including spectators....couple guys were betting $10....
...the rest were smaller
Game went on for quite a while....I was the big winner....

I mightíve got nervous if they had seen this video

Lionize your game.

Any ideas (or videos) for how to pocket the 3&9 with a reasonable legal shot?

Thanks,
Dave
