Republicans turn on Trump ... - 10-13-2019, 09:13 PM

Don't bust out the Jergens just yet. Republicans won't be turning on Trump come election day. No one who believes in conservative values will ever vote for a Socialist and they'll all be EXTREMELY motivated to keep a Socialist from getting into the WH; and that's all the D party has to offer these days.

I think you're only partly right about that. There are plenty of people who are hurting over the fact they can't afford their health care.
This election will be the closest that we are going to come to getting a Democratic candidate that not only has the desire to change that system
to cut out the private sector graft, as we will have ever come.

When it comes to abuses that have been allowed to bloom by those who would say they believe in the free market, well they contributed to the
destruction of the free market in health care by taking lobbyists money. You can't continue to have a free market in anything when advantages can be bought and paid for.

So your boy Obama didnt make medical insurance affordable for everybody?

"Passing it to see what was in it", apparently was not a good strategy.

Now as I recall when all that went down. Trump was a private citizen.

The onus for the Unaffordable Care Act is on the democrats. They passed it all on their own.

Keep your head down and admire the shot.

Sure its on them. They get the credit with the last ditch effort at trying to bridge the private market free market capitalism
and the cost of healthcare and it worked to a large extent but it was fought by the Republicans who wouldn't agree to anything. People aren't going to forget that.

So as time went by, more fighting over it and guess what? People didn't want their health care taken away by the mean old Republicans who have nothing to replace it with.

So what do you think happens in that scenario?

Do you really think that people want to go back to insurance that is higher in price than anywhere in the world whose premiums are subject to corporate greed that starts with
the cost of procedures and is compounded by drugs that are way out of line with the prices in other countries?

Healthcare is going to cost some votes, attacks on womens right are going to cost some votes, Syria is going to cost some votes, Impeachment is going to cost some votes,
Environmental issues are going to cost some votes and a whole list of other things important to some folks including the treatment of trade and others.

Trump may have his undying base that are willing to ignore his BS but that doesn't include the rest of the world. Unless of course you get to count Russians.

They love him and have gone to great lengths to support him.

When exactly is the vote to repeal Obamacare?

As afar as your list of other items.
The only people that wont vote for him are the ones that would not in the first place.

What rights are being taken away from women?

Who really cares about Syria or Muslims in general in their day to day activities? The Germans and French just had a meeting concerning Syria and sending troops down.
This is Europe'd problem. When they take care of it. It will be a 100% win for Trump.

The environment is just fine. Removing redundant regulations harms no one.

Trade is a winning position for Trump. Taking other nations to the woodshed makes people smile.

The impeachment air barrel is going to be a win for Trump as well.
The Democrats are over playing their hand. The Senate will not bring it to trial.

Trumps taxes will take all the oxygen out of the room and bury the lefts messaging.

It is going to be fun to watch.

Keep your head down and admire the shot.

I kind of think that about your locale and "truths" like this: https://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=499879

If you tolerate this, then your children will be next.

I have never quoted someone in my signature....but I found such a shallow idiotic comment like this worthy!

How long is an "agreement" good for?

Do you put "time limits" on agreements?

We used to have a mutual defense treaty with Taiwan, which is no longer in effect due to political correctness (there can't be two "Chinas").

They stood by us for decades.

Do you think the US would go to war with China if it made an offensive move to take Taiwan?

I don't.

Time remains constant, yet "events" change over time (for the better or the worse...depends upon your perspective).

China is "preparing" itself to become the #1 world power and WE, along with the rest of the Western world, are HELPING them.

WE need to make alliances with other nations in order to "contain" them, but those alliances DON'T mean we have to PHYSICALLY put troops in every country around the world. The OTHER countries need to pony up and carry their share and that will never happen because NONE of them want to bear the economic burden of doing so.

If ALL the Western World were prepared to "eat a half bowl of rice a day", like the Chinese are "willing" to do (with a gun to their head), then China could be economically incapacitated to such a point that there would be a people's revolt.

This seems like several questions/scenarios rolled into one. Let me answer this way. The Commander in Chief, made a command decision, that is his to make. I have many feelings/thoughts on the matter, realizing the complexities of the situation. Obviously I hope his decision was based on sound advice, and I am happy for the U.S. folks who will return home to their families. Hopefully for a variety of reasons, I want this to be the correct call. There really isn't much more that I can say.
