Check this out my fellow fishermen and boaters. Think it's more of a gimmick than functional? Seems to be the next big thing... let me know what you think.

Interesting. Didn't see any pricing, but I suspect they're pretty pricey.
I just picked up a new prop for one of my boats (it's only a 9.9hp that I use on my cabin lake). Crazy how expensive they've become over the years.

Especially if you run a stainless prop like I do... hell, a standard Yamaha prop for my 150 runs over 500$ new...

very cool.... not sure how strong it will be on outboards though... I can see how a commercial use or a big yacht wouldn't make much contact with anything, but stumps and rocks are pretty common on my adventures... I've got a shelf full of old disfigured props

Grew up on a lake with a pier out my front door....

If yah hit any thing and knock it outta balance, I wonder who has the bench set up for a fine balanced tuning after a rock hit. I'll just keep with my regular prop, and the speed prop. $200+

I'm thinking they may be great for bigger boats and ships and all... a flats boat like I run has the tendency to hit obstructions and bottom more often... I think it's a greatly efficient tech, just for certain boats. At least that's where I'm leaning right now.

I was thinking the same. Used to do a ton of fishing when younger. Props now days are insanely expensive. You bend or chip that sucker, and I'm betting the repair, rebalance, is off the charts, that is if anyone in your area is qualified to perform the work. May be at the mercy of the manufacturer, and for sure that would be $$$$.

You remember when fiberglass boats were looked at like that compared to wood... the market seemed to manage. I want to see some independent testing which would minimize the bias. The site pretty much says no downside... besides no prices be listed

I don't own a boat, but after watching the independent testing in the link below, if I did, I'd be trying to get my hands on one of those props. The tester was IMPRESSED on every level of comparison to the standard stainless props test. Even said maneuverability was far better.added to performance and fuel efficiency.

For those of you that wanted to see a test there's a test video at this boatest.com link:

Wonder how well it clears weeds, and if it can't or won't, how much efficiency is lost?
