Help identifying a cue (possibly Keith Mcready's cue)

Hi AZB,
Long time lurker, was posting this for a good friend, and cue maker, David Whitsell in San Diego. I was hoping someone here could ID this cue, the previous owner, or the makers.

The cue was brought into Dave's shop and said it belonged to Keith Mcready. The person who brought it in said it was an early Kersenbrock or Jerry Franklin/Southwest cue.

The cue has a 3/8x10 pin and has Keith Mcready's name written as shown.

And obligatory Side Pocket shot

If anyone can contact these people directly and confirm who's cue this was it would be greatly appreciated! I have left David's contact info in the photos as well if you would like to contact him directly

I doubt that it was Keith's cue. I think Keith McCready would know how to spell his own name!

Reminds me of a joke...A cue, a 9 ball and a piece of chalk walk into a bar and the cue says...:).

I just showed him the photo, and he said he would never do that to one of his cues, put his name on it like that. He does not recognize it either. :(

In all fairness, it is under the wrap - the cue maker may not have known how to spell his name

Hi JAM, would you ask if he recognizes the cue itself? This was with the wrap removed. I don't think he'd have seen his name written but may have just been from the maker.
