I just thought I would try and give a verbal explanation on my inside spin moving the rack North theory. For an expirament try racking all the ball's up and freeze whitey to the bottom row of five balls East side of the rack ie the 5 ball's you will then be aiming into a straight line of five ball's towards the left long rail from an over head tables perspective. Now use right hand english and stroke through the bottom part of the rack at a soft to medium speed. You should discover that Rt spin will pull those 5 ball's south or left (outside spin) and left spin from the same position does just the opposite pushing the five ball's more to the right north or up table(inside spin.) If you position whitey again on the east side of the rack trying to make a traditional breakshot cutting a ball to the left - the Rt spin (or outside english) will pull some balls down towards the bottom rail (counter clockwise,) from the west coast side with this same breakshot cutting the object ball to the Rt - right spin (or inside)will do just the opposite (the rack moves clock wise and or uptable.) Maybe this explains my theory better. I do suggest staying as close to center ball when trying to pocket a ball but yes spin does go as far as three or maybe four balls deep, which will in affect change the direction of the rack. This may be very confusing as writing about it is tough for me.
Again this is just my theory and what works for me.

I suspect that what you are experiencing is that when you play these shots with IE you have a tendency to overcut the OB and hence send the CB into the pack at a relatively higher speed.

That's one explanation, coz it really doesn't make any sense to say that a spinning CB makes the pack split with any significant difference.

I just ordered the DVD today. Hopefully, it won't take too long to get to Pennsylvania.

I've really been into the game lately and am attempting to get a 14.1 league together. Unfortunately, when I mention the game I get two responses: Older players tell me that nobody plays that anymore and younger players tell me the game is too boring. I'm hoping that I can get enough to get started and once that happens, other players will see what we see and want to play.
