Trump Settles - 11-18-2016, 02:44 PM

After claiming he'd never settle the Trump University fraud lawsuits,

http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/Trum.../03/id/717221/

He settles the Trump University fraud lawsuits.

http://money.cnn.com/2016/11/18/news...d=hp-stack-dom

Now, to be fair, he said all along that he could settle, and that he probably should. But he emphasized that he wouldn't settle because he "wins in court."

Sure you do, Donald.

His POTUS win was bigger than the court case.

As president-elect, he has far more important things to deal with now.

Ask that after Trump is sworn in....or ask the current president of the past 8 years.

Sounds like he followed the urging of the judge.

Quote:
But since Trump was elected, U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel urged the parties to settle the case to avoid the immense complications of a president-elect facing trial while preparing to take office.

I had a visa card that I disputed the charges on. I had it linked to a checking account that I had closed out and somehow some books that I had purchased online had been delayed and when they ran my closed account's check card on them, the bank put the charges on my credit card and never sent me a bill. I had paid off the balance on the credit card so I didn't think anything of not receiving a bill.

I get a call from a collection agency stating that I owed them 420 dollars. It was on an original 80 dollar charge. I said, you're crazy, I'll be happy to pay the original 80 but I will not pay 420.

I continued to get calls and I continued to refuse to pay. I said, I will never pay these charges as they are wrong.

Several months later, I joined the Navy and had to have clean credit, so guess what? I paid 800 dollars to have it cleared off.

Then six months later I had to contest the information on my credit report.

It didn't mean that I wouldn't have fought it and won in court, but I was at a place where it wasn't feasible for me to do so...

Just Saying...

Jaden

Goodness, you as an attorney can't even figure this one out. Had he not be elected to the highest office in the world, he might have kept fighting and possibly won, who knows. But, now that he is going to be President, I really don't think he gives a shit about some stupid lawsuit that he can afford to pay... not like he raped someone and settled.

He's got better things do to, lets be honest. I'd have settled that in a heartbeat... no distractions when taking over the WH, that's what a good business person does everyday and twice on Sunday. I mean, he's gonna be a busy man, he's not be forced into retirement like Hillary. LOL

The sad thing is that they actively and knowingly prevent the injured parties from being made whole.
