Best US politician of all time ... POLL - 02-26-2017, 08:32 AM

Allowing no points for actual results as a leader, focusing simply on who was the best of all time at working the crowd both in person and on video.

Having a solid program, good or bad, would actually be a negative in this. Selling the people a pig in a polk would be a positive

Also, please give no consideration to whether you like/dislike agree/disagree with the individual.

Trump wasn't a politician at all until the 2016 race....he could sure draw the crowds though.

If you tolerate this, then your children will be next.

I have never quoted someone in my signature....but I found such a shallow, idiotic, and inane comment like this worthy!

I'd say there is no doubt it is between Reagan and Clinton.

I picked Clinton, but I can see picking Reagan also.

Even Clinton's opponents recognized his gift, and he was said to be the best retail politician of our generation even by them. Not that they respected him, but they respected his skill and art for what it was.

Most of the others were known as stiffs, frankly, when it came to that aspect.

I think this is a different question from who had the greater charisma. Then they still rank right at the top again, but JFK becomes a contender.

The point of modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth.

― Garry Kasparov

... the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either -- but right through every human heart -- and through all human hearts.

― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn

Like him, love him, or hate him, there was a reason that nearly every sitting President after him, called Nixon for advice on foreign affairs. JMO.

I hope you don't mind an outsider from The Attic speaking up....
....y'all might assume I would choose the man in my avatar....
...but I think Richard Nixon was the best politician....
..for one thing, he was the best poker player of the bunch...maybe professional speed.

Like most poker pros, he did make a few bad decisions...and got caught on one.....
...but he WAS Tricky Dicky....when negotiating on the world stage.....
...he could hold his own.

I'll stick with Eisenhower as if you look at his 2 terms, what he accomplished was just short of amazing. When you drive on the interstate highway system, think about NASA, and a host of other things, you should thank the man who made it happen.

Eisenhower was the first Rino. Hand picked by FDR.

Didn't support McCarthy.

I posted long ago Why Like Ike.

There is no doubt about it. Reagan is the one.

Not sure why The Donald is in this poll.
It certainly isn't possible to look at his term with the same perspective as the others.

Put my 2 cents on IKE -
Pushed country strength and homeland -
The constitution was for the individual -
Every one after IKE went vote buying and world order and empowering groups -
Have to wait and see the Trump direction play out -
