Holmes vs Cooney

Definitely a low blow.

I'm a big Wlad fan but I'm afraid his time may have passed. Joshua is an outstanding young fighter and if he can avoid getting caught I feel he will beat Wlad. My 2 favorite Heavys. Both come across as true gentlemen in interviews. I kinda hate to see them fight.

God bless each and every one of you

Anthony Joshua just gave his first coach, Shaun Murphy, a new ride.
Shaun had lured him away from the gansta life when he was out on bail.
Anthony says this is just the start...he remembers.

Amen PT....I would add Mickey Ward to that list as well, and probably Arturo Gatti. These cats left their souls in the ring.

When i have listened to Joshua he never brags and is always respectful of his opponent. Of course, that sometimes changes with success. Don King ruined Larry Holmes.

God bless each and every one of you

I appreciate the Klitchko legacy, I will always remember him as one of the most boring HW I have ever seen. How many rounds has he won just pumping that sledgehammer jab over and over. Granted, it has made him millions and won him a ton of fights, but wow I find it boring. I would have loved to see him go for more KO finishes.

I am excited about the new crop of alphabet champions and contenders. Deonte Wilder, Joshua, etc. They seem to be more of the Lennox Lewis type heavyweights; big men but still throw both hands well and not afraid to get forehead to forehead and bang looking for the finish.

Good post. Not sure about Wilder. He or , more likely, his people, have fed him mainly cupcakes, Stiverne being his only decent win.

God bless each and every one of you

My favorite active fighters are Gennady Golovkin (GGG), Sergei Kovalev, Joe Smith Jr,
and Vasyl Lomanchenko. Three are big punchers and Lomanchenko is a master boxer.

God bless each and every one of you

Arguello vs Pryor is one of the best fights ever.

Arguello was a true boxing champion and a credit to boxing. Pryor was a drug addict before, during and after his boxing career was over. In one of his fights with Arguello, Alexis hit him so many times it was ridiculous. Aaron never flinched he must have been so high he couldn't feel a thing. Every other man Arguello fought would have succumbed to that beating.
One of the all time greats has to be Marvelous Marvin Hagler. In his first bought with Vito Antufermo he won but it was declared a draw. Marvin was so pissed he said he'd punish Vito into retirement if they ever fought again. He did exactly that in their second bought. Marvin was one of the greatest old school fighters. He was there to take you out and certainly was one of the greatest middleweights of all time. I used to love boxing till the drugs and pitty pat point punching became the norm. Now I watch MMA far more than boxing.. JMO folks!

Who do you think won the Hagler-Leonard fight?

After their 2 fights they became best friends and, sadly, both became strung out on cocaine. It ruined both of their lives .

God bless each and every one of you
