It's a label that gets stuck on slightly above average stuff which then gets the price tripled or more due to that label. Then since it's "rare", people resell that stuff for double what they paid for it.

My son, who follows Supreme, said he has no doubt that the cues will sell out. Funny how a skateboard shop can promote pool better than a pool shop.

I think it’s good. Pool needs younger folk thinking it’s cool. So big money, tattoos, hot girls, struttin and barkin...and whatever supreme is.. all these things will probably do pool some good.

Many here have said we need companies outside of pool to take an interest in the game. This surely counts as that. The cue itself looks like a basic McDermott entry level cue. It probably hits pretty good too. You know if you show up in a pool hall with it you will have guys lining up to try ya some too!

This is the problem.

Itís been on sale for less than 24 hours and is already being resold for $470.

People who participate in the Hypebeast lifestyle arenít going to become avid players.

On the other hand, congratulations to McDermott for selling 200+ cues in one day!

I had no idea what Supreme is and I'm only 35 which probably makes me a youngster around here. Anything like this is good for pool. Pool desperately needs a younger demographic. And to the person who said a lot of old school activities are coming back like board games, ping pong, and bowling you are 100 percent right. Pool needs to find a way to capture some of that. The problem though is pool is so disjointed overall that no one can take advantage.
