Gold Crown IV Manual

Anybody out there have a PDF of a Service Manual for a Brunswick Gold Crown IV ? I can't find one online, and thought maybe someone here might have one. The question I have is do the screw holes in the slate need to be filled? My rails are still at the paint shop. I was hoping to get a head start on assembly. I bought this from the warehouse scratch and dent. It was originally white and I'm getting it painted gloss black. Thanks in advance.

You bought a scratch and dent from what warehouse?

P.s. no you do not need to fill the screw holes and if you decide fill them use a piece of tape to cover the head of the screw before you fill.

Not really a scratch and dent section, I know an employee and got a really good deal. I don’t think I’m supposed to disclose the price. It was less than you could imagine.

I totally understand. Keep us posted with pics? Interested to see how your rails turn out. If I am understanding correctly you are having them painted? As in painting over the formica? Auto paint?

Finally got it all together, I'm very happy with the results. Thanks for the tips on finishing the pockets realkingcobra.

pictures are far to large. How did you go about the painting of the rails? Curious how that went down and how well it lasts?

I'm not sure how to post the pics, is there a thread to help.

I had it painted by a friend that paints cars. Time will tell on durability. It was clear coated to add to durability.

Nice looking table! What kind of light is that?

Trent, there are some pretty durable auto clears out there. The best part is they are easy to polish or even wet sand and cut if needed.

Exactly what I am interested to know about. I hope the OP will show us pics down the road.

An auto body specialist friend of mine painted his Gold Crown I rails about 15-20 years ago. The table sees a couple of hours of use every day, yet still looks like new. I don't remember how many coats of clear he used, but I know that it was 3+.

It is about time I meet one of these auto painters!

This GC I was shot at a body shop. Pictures don't do it justice. Slates were all stone lapped making them flat as can be.
