That's true. I miss ol' "17" even though I like "whitey" better.

All are beautiful. No question about it. Just saying I like the bronze trim. I might be getting a new table next year. I would be thrilled with a perfectly restored 1,2,3 or a Mahogany Tournament VI. There is no such thing as an ugly GC.

I don't like making plans for the day, because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around in the courtroom.

The piano finish was available on the GC III. Mr. Billiards in Baldwin Park, CA had 20 of them in the''90's. They have long since closed.

I still don't see the asking price for that table, it's not brand new in the box, never been set up. Who knows how long it WAS set up, or how many times it has been recovered over the years, let alone who did the recovering.

If they wanted to show the value of the table, they should provide current pictures, disassembled, so you can really see what it looks like today.

The general lee is starting to grow on me. Can somebody photoshop us some traditional colors on it?

Am I dreaming with that question?

The bigger question is why would anyone trying to sell a GC1 for $5900 as original in excellent condition, suggest the buyer might want to replace the cushions before assembling the table, unless of course they were really trying to sell the paint job and not the table itself.

They should deduct a fair amout for inaccurately depicting the Confederate Flag; seven stars too many.
