For Sale: 1993 Bill Schick cue with 4 shafts, all made for this cue by Bill (2 original and 2 built in 1997). Cue butt and shafts were recently refinished by Mike Webb. Linen for the rewrap matches the original and was kindly provided by Ryan Theewan (RAT Cues). The butt and 3 of the shafts are straight, one shaft has a slight variance when rolling.
Length: 57.5” (equally split forearm/shafts)
Forearm: Birdseye maple
Points/butt sleeve: rosewood (species not known), 4 veneers
Double brass rings: ABCDE
Butt cap: Delrin
Joint: stainless steel piloted 0.298”x14 (slightly smaller than 5/16”x14)
Butt weight: 15.2 oz.
Butt diameter @D: 1.20”; End diameter: 1.28”
Balance point: 19.4”-19.75” (depending upon shaft)
Ferrules: 1.1”
Shafts (diameter measured at tip and very similar at ferrule/shaft interface)
Shaft 1: (1993) 4.4 oz. 12.7 mm, Schick tip
Shaft 2: (1993) 4.4 oz. 12.6 mm, Schick tip
Shaft 3: (1997) 4.0 oz. 13.0 mm, Talisman Water Buffalo Hard tip
Shaft 4: (1997) 3.9 oz. 13.0 mm, Schick tip
Three of the shafts have Bill’s taper. At 6” from the ferrule, they are ~13.5 mm. Shaft 2 is closer to a standard pro taper (13.1 mm @ 6”).
