Dean......you are truly legendary in the world of pocket billiards and have supported the growth and interest in the game,
cue-makers and pool cues. As far as the latter goes, you sit atop my totem pole ranking because of your contributions.

Here's the first two cues that Bob and Jerry made for me and some pics of the matching joint protector set from Bob.
The protectors were requested as simply a nice protector set for my cue. As always, Bob exceeded my expectations.

When the book of pool folklore gets written, Dean deserves an entire chapter dedicated to all he has attempted & achieved.
The hands holding the cue in the below photo are the pair that produces such great pool cues......none other than Mr. Bob Owen.

The protector set surprised me quite a bit since Bob use matching rings and there's lots of ivory & Pau Lau abalone in each ring.
I knew how arduous it was to make these rings that adorn my cue and so I figured Bob would use a different design.......Nope!

Thanks to Deanoc, the Forum has been a much better place but I might as well add, my wallet is just a wee bit thinner too.
Nonetheless. zero regrets on my behalf and frankly, I'd still be buying more pool cues if it was feasible. I still want a cue from Joel.

Dean I really like the JC cue I got from you. Unfortunately I’ve got some 24/7 stuff going on right now so no time to get photos. Hopefully I’ll get some time soon to do it.

I also ordered the tribute box cue from Bob Owens but I haven’t received it yet and I don’t expect it for a while. I’m sure it’s going to be great though.

it is good to hear that you are still happy with the cues from JC and Bob Owen

Bob is as dependable as you can get,his work is flawless
but when i recommend a cue maker i like to know he does a good job and delivers on time

i think that is one reason people love Jerry Rauenzahn and bob Owen

are there any of the old Scruggs cues

What about the last 3 Scruggs cues finished by Searing,South West and Haley

i love co operation cues

when i got into cues,it was not common to see cue makers working closely or sharing
ideas

I like to think I helped encourage some of the co operation that we see today

yes I let this slip through my hands as well

i admit it is the prettiest antique table i have seen

but if chris will post pictures of his table you
can see what i have coming

Look at the pictures of the room
see why my wife wants the room for other purposes
she loves the view f the park that you can barely see
through the window

she is giving all of that up for a pool table

Dean this look familiar

Having trouble posting the image ... what changed? It has been awhile. What is everyone using for image sharing.

Alton gets credit for the picture and of course the great custom Joint Protector.

Dean how long have you been into pool if you don't mind me asking?

I think you have mastered life, I hear that attachment is suffering, you have enjoyed and let go, to enjoy again.
Beautiful in many ways.

So far everything was top notch, that last cue of Barry's is a a show stopper.

these pictures are really nice
i wish i had been able to post or even take pictures

it saddens me that so many guys that i used to see on the forum are
no longer here

i doubt if any here even remember the old Deano cues that
John Nemic made for me.They were what introduced me to
the forum

I wish someone would post pictures of at least one of them

I really think they were the best playing cues I ever saw.
Sneaky Petes with a big wood pin, nothing resembling a pro taper

I remember drawing the ball better with that old cue than anything I ever had

Dean,
Looking at all of these pictures of deals you have done via AZB over time is a lot of fun
for everyone, not only you. But I feel obligated to mention three key things:

1. All of these transactions amount to a very, very small portion of all the purchases and
sales you have done over the years; hundreds upon hundreds, including some of the best cues ever made.
2. Every transaction you have ever done has always been fair, fun and accomplished with class.
3. You are truly one of the great contributors (and characters) of our great sport.....certainly on AZB.

Your contributions have been significant, and I am honored to have you as a friend.
If your one pocket game were as strong as your character, you would already be in the sports history books.
I think you will be anyway!
