This is my NEW Sideways JW!!! It's being delivered to the room ( I'm at the hospital every day getting radiation so I don't want to complicate things by it being delivered when I'm not home and having to go chase it, so... ) today and I will go pick it up this evening. MAN I want this cue in my hot little hands!!! I came this >< close to buying this cue last Fall when I bought the Tad but I decided to wait a bit and now "a bit" has passed. JOSSWEST TIME!!!!!!

Well, I gotta get on the other side of this pesky cancer, then I'll see how it fares in competition! Til then, I'll be on the down-low.

Hi all,

I just bought this cue and have seen photos of JOSS cues with similar joint rings and blocks. Is mine an old JOSS?
The butt is very nice birdseye maple, pin is 3/8-10, weight is 17.5 oz, tip is11mm, length is 57 1/4", balance point is 17 1/4" from end of butt cap
and the wrap seems to be nylon thread. It is perfectly straight and appears to be well made.

Thanks
henrylr

Sadly, if this great thread teaches us nothing else, it shows not to use photobucket, or some other third party picture. There are a few great pictures here, but the photobucket pictures are either blurred or missing. It's sad, as there were some very nice older Joss cues posted over the years.

Take the picture, download it to the computer, size it correctly, and upload it here. Otherwise, it'll be blocked or blurry sooner or later.

All the best,
WW

100% agree.

It's easy to resize in regular old Paint. It's a shame to lose such great pictures.

AZ dumped a ton of old photos during one of the crashes, so it's really just "back up your data"

Just picked this up recently...received it today. 68-72 block letter Joss. 2 original shafts with ivory ferrules. Absolutely immaculate....not a scratch or mark on it. I am so happy...been wanting one of these for years and I finally got it.
My regular shooter is a 95 pre-sierial number. I recently had it restored by Dan at Joss because it hit the floor and received a bent pin and some major chunks out of it.
Along with the Joss Thor hammer break I got recently as well I am pretty happy with my set up. I will get out tomorrow to spend some time at the table with it. Thanks to everybody else that posted so many beautiful cues.

I may have been the original owner of this cue. It looks like the one that I had built by Dan Janes.
