I am having a custom cue being made and I like a hard hit. The cue is going to have Mason Micarta ferrules with hard black Kamui tips and a radial pin with a stiffer taper on the shafts the forearm is going to be ebony cored with maple. My question is does the joint material like Ivorine make a difference in the hardness of the hit? What would the cue makers on this forum think about what material I should use? I also like good feed back on the hit of the cue. Thanks for your time.

Should be fine. Joint collar material shouldn't change the feel significantly enough to make a big difference, unless say it's stainless steel or brass. But any thermoset should be relatively similar.
