I know for a fact that there used to be a thread on here where people were posting photo's from old pool rooms. and pool rooms from around the world.

I've used the search feature but am having zero luck.

If you know where it is, I've got a whole Friday at work to kill.. :)

images from that thread that come to mind are..

the tables outdoors in the desert.
the outdoor table in the floating room. (middle east I think)
the old Brunswick Monarch table in the ghost town out west (USA).

Just google vintage billiards pictures, old pool pictures, old billiard pictures and so on. Hit images and you will get hundreds in not thousands of pictures. That is likely where many of them came from.
