Like the title eludes, if you could choose any cue maker(s) in history to make you a cue(s) to collect, to flip, AND to play with, which maker(s) would you choose? (For clarification you CAN choose three different makers)

This is an easy one for me.

George Balabushka.
Gus Szamboti.
Frank Paradise.

And I wouldn't flip any of them.

All the best,
H

Oops, you're right, I spoke too quick. I thought the three were interchangeable.

To collect - George Balabushka.
To flip - Dennis Searing.
To play- Tough one, I'm going to say Gus Szamboti.

All the best,
Hoot

from the day they made the cues

southwest were immediately worth more
at the end of his career Gus were worth more
Barry from day one until now,buy today sell tomorrow

flip, collect or play which ever one you choose

i play an inexpensive Larry Vigus because it plays as good as anything and the price was so low that i don't worry about nicks ,scratches.getting stolen etc

kinda like my Shelby convertible,i get compliments everywhere i go,it drives good but i don't enjoy it because i keep fearing the mileage will get high, the paint will get scratched etc

i enjoyed my old mercury more because i didn' worry about any of this stuff

its just my nature, and that is what makes me sell the most valuable cues and play whatever plays close

my wife says go ahead keep one of those really great cues, they go up and you deserve it
but i think different

the only thing i know is these cues i mention are sure things

I'd say Searing has the greatest upside of any builder in history, if purchased new from Dennis.

my 2 cents

To flip- George B.
To collect - Manzino just cause I love his work.
To play- Manzino again cause I love his work and their absolutely great players.

Their was also Thomas Wayne at the top of my list to collect just because he does different stuff than anyone else and great work.
But their truly is so many that do amazing work and in a way I love alot of different cue styles.
