John has announced on Facebook the first semi-public (ticket purchase required) viewing of the finished 626 video:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
John Schmidt -- Hi hat entertainment has produced over 500 shows and the owner is a 100 ball runner. It's a good fit as he and his associates are familiar with shows and he is familiar with pool.

It's a first time trial doing it this way but I think will be fun night.

Just a conjecture: A Houston venue will likely be one of the eventual national tour stops.

It's okay if I end up being wrong, but this seems like one of the worst ideas in a long line of bad ideas related to pool.

Where in Ventura is this being held, or is it a secret location where you need top secret clearance to get in?

I just don't see a lot of people spending $50 to sit and watch guy make balls for 5 hours.

If it was within 100 miles of my home I would go.

To me its less of watching a guy shoot short shots
over and over. More of listening to a guy who spent
his life working on high runs in straight pool. Talking about the time working on running over 600.

The frustrations of catching a skid, doggin it,
after 400+ balls and getting up the next day to do it again.

Him explaining the pressure when getting close to the record. Patterns.
Being able to ask questions or just listen to other people
do so.
Not many people will reach the feat he did in their
lifetime.
Might not be for everyone but I believe he will draw a
decent crowd.

C'mon Jay,
No top secret clearance needed.
Just deposit phones in RF bag that locks, get wanted to make sure you don't have any additional recording devices on you, have your car swept for laser pointing voice capture (in case someone just wants the commentary) and sign a NDA stating you will only post that you have viewed it and it is 626 balls.

Easy breezy.

John also posted this yesterday: "I'm working on getting it out online to the masses soon"

Wrd. I think it would be a bad idea for John only if it was the “end all” way of getting the video out.

I’d buy a DVD/video but also I’d go to one of these if it was closer to me. A pool gathering with the run, a win/win
