My God these reservation people are so stupid its amazing. so far they have transfered to Texas, then Alantic city, now Texas, then Indania, they dont hve the record locater for the event, my God these people are stupid, it would be easier for me to buy a house there for the week and sell it afterwards. so far i'm into this 30 minutes, they are 100% helpless, my friends who work at Harris propertys here in Vegas have told me how fvcked up they are at all levels, now i'm on hold with group sales thats closed, now they transferred me to Sandy who ever the hell that is???? and I got a voice mail., Its amazing these people find thier way to work everyday, God Bless the other joint ansd the shitty food. This I feel is gonna be a disaster, I talk on the phone for a living, I never heard so many confused people in my life-just to book a room. I said forget the group rate give me the Presedential Suite I dont care what it costs, I just wanted to throw $$$ at them an they couldnt do that.

I'm just gonna buy a house, car and hore a personal asistant for me there and bring my bodyguards as usual. WOW

Not to cut Harrah's any slack, but I deal with a number of hotels and
not very many have a clue!

I really want to know how you "hore a personal assistant" though (lol)

I just got a reservation for the 24th through the 1st without a problem. Unlike some other hotels I've called, the reservationist knew about the tournament dates and such.

The Harrah's web site shows that the weekends are sold out, and that the "normal person" rate for the weekdays is $200 during that week.

I was also pleasantly surprised that Southwest has a direct flight from San Jose to Louisville. It's got two stops, but my luggage should has less chance to wander off.

I just called and booked a room for the 28th-30th. The only thing that caught me off guard is that there is an additional charge of $10.00 per person in the room. So for me and my buddy, the rates are $115.00, and $135.00. I did give them the "event code" listed above. Did anyone else encounter this additional $10.00 charge? I haven't seen anyone mention it anywhere when discussing reservations, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

I will not be going to DCC this year. They only allow service pets and my dogs boarding bills usually run about $150 a day because of his size. No way can I afford the higher hotel bill AND a boarding bill. Executive West only charged $100 for the whole week to bring a pet. I will miss that.

the casino will definitely change the overall atmosphere, but it stills looks to be an exciting pool jamboree

How are everyone planning on getting from louisville airport to the casino? I asked about a shuttle and they said it was about a 40 minute trip from the airport and there was no shuttle. I will look at rental cars tomorow but thought I would ask if anyone knows of other ways to get there. Chris.

Got some pictures at Harrah's of the tournament room.

This is the main tournament room. Directly in the front is where the TV table will be set up. The main room is surrounded in 3 sides with sky box/ balcony rooms which will also be used for tournaments.

To top right on the photo is the VIP room. There are one on rigt and left of the TV table (stage). The view from the VIP room is incredible. You can watch every match from there.

More sky boxes/ balcony rooms.

TAR PIT/ Action Room - Of course, there will be black curtains draped over these windows to block all the sun lights. It looks as about 8 tables can comfortably fit in this room.

More to come.

Of course there are booze everywhere. Last call is 2 a.m. per Indiana Laws No more drinking until 4 am like the ol'Executive West...

However, there was this very classy joint called Legends - looked very elegant and hip. Just give us pool players one night, we'll change it all around

I think Harrah's really excited to having DCC over there-already a welcome sign

No actually it was a sign at the buffet line. Along with many snack shops and one REAL fancy steak house they also have the traditional casino buffet. Price was reasonable for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Something like 12, 14 and 18. Tuesday dinner is like 24 and they call it specialty buffet. And my favorite Seafood buffet is on Friday nights with crab legs, oysters on half shell and sushi! also for 24.

On a Monday night when I was there, they had variety of food. American section had pretty prime rib for buffet grade, several styles of pizza, pasta, soul food and whole section dedicated to Chinese food along with KIMCHEE, yes you heard me, they had kimchee, lol.

Overall of my rating to the buffet is very good!

Now don't anyone bother me for autographs on Friday night. I will be tearing up the seafood buffet LOL
