You should probably mention somewhere on the marketing that this match is on a bar box.

If that's true, it will be interesting to watch, as I don't believe I've ever seen Mike D play on a bar table.

If that's not true, I would still be interested, because I'd like to see how Mike D has improved compared to the last streamed matches against Shane.

I will definitely be watching this ppv.

Is MD playing as well now as he was a year ago?

First and foremost, thank you CSI for putting together such a nice match.

It is a matchup of the two highest American finishers at both the 2014 US Open 9-ball (Shane 1st, Mike D 4th) and the 2015 Super Billiards Expo 10-ball (Shane 3rd, Mike D 4th). It's also a match of America's two best breakers.

Shane is America's best, and he's the favorite to beat any other American, but Mike will make him earn the victory.

Why couldn't the Challenge Matches at least be on a 9-footer? Last year's CSI Invitational is probably my favorite from a production standpoint but I won't be watching any of it this year. Looks like a child's game on that tiny table.

You BB haters are miss the point!

The APA and BCA all play there big tournaments on the Bar Box so this is a great way to keep the LARGEST AUDIENCE of Pool players locked into the game.

It looks like thy just soft break and run out, but if its that easy are you suggesting that anybody can do it? The fact that its on a BB and it looks easy will keep the
C-level/D-level working to do the same, Great marketing.

Great post. I'm kinda sick of hearing the "bar box pool isn't pool. I couldn't live with myself if I spent a whopping 15 bucks to watch two greats duke it out on that kid table" comments as well.

Definitely not suggesting anyone can do it. But that doesn't mean it's OK to level the playing field such that the advantages earned by a consummate PRO are lessened if not entirely negated.

Other sports don't do anything of this sort. Basketball hasn't lowered the height of its rims. Football hasn't decreased the size of its ball. The top levels of all games/sports should be formatted in a way so that the talent and ability of the PROs is able to shine.

Call it crying, complaining or constructive criticism, I truly believe PROs playing on 7fters is a bush-league move. I'll just watch the overseas tournaments if this is where the state of U.S. pool is headed. The promoters should feel ashamed.

No disrespect but you miss the point. The Pro's dont only play on the Bar Box, they sometimes play on the Bar box. This is just another tournament and a test of skills. I play a sporty game of golf and I watch tournaments like the one this past weekend where scores of 15under were possible, not one golfer said they didn't want to play because the course was to easy and it gave the weaker drivers/putters a chance to win!

International Basket Ball has a decreased three point line, Canadian Football uses a larger field, nobody says either game is lesser or greater because. Run out or go home, catch at the next tournament.

None taken. I understand where you're going and though I can't comment on the golf analogy because I don't follow the game, I will say I don't watch FIBA or Canadian football simply because I find they're inferior products. Same as barbox pool. I guess that's really the gist of my argument.
