I'm hoping more will participate this year.

Everyone needs to not worry about how well they do. Just play, post and try to improve...repeat.

As some know, I'm about to start a series of surgeries for my back. I have to take a LOT of pain meds to even think about playing, much less play a set. But, I'm gonna ....lol...dose-up and try to post at least one ghost race before my first surgery.

So, if I can do it, as bad as I play and feel, surely at least some of our AZB members that haven't posted....can and will post up.

I look forward to seeing our members play, regardless of how they (me included) do.

Jeff

BTW.....thanks iusetoberich:thumbup:

FYI, going to my buddy's house tomorrow to play pool for 6 hours so I won't have time to video any ghost challenges. I'll challenge the ghost Thursday night after work.

Hey 7, he's not assuming anything about anyone's skill level.

You know what??? The challenge isn't so much a challenge against others, as much as it's against "yourself".

Play the six ball ghost to 7. It doesn't matter what you score. What does matter however, is whether or not you learn from your errors. It's also more likely that you'll learn from others that are at higher levels....if you watch and watch again until you see what and why they do/did what they do/did....and then carry it to the table and run it till you own it.

Also, some people have problems with pressure and knowing that your gonna be watched will put pressure on most and by putting vids up....well, eventually they get more accustomed to pressure of sorts.

So, there is much to be learned in here. Also, you don't have to play the 6 ball ghost. You are more than welcome to play the 3 ball ghost and post a vid of that.

The next best thing to improving is to see someone else improve. Why? Well, sometimes we don't know what to fix or how to fix it but, by watching others with similar problems, we can gain a wealth of knowledge.......and it's all free.

I look forward to your 3 ball ghost race just as much as I would if you were the number one player on the planet. Matter of fact, maybe even more since you and I have more in common than either one of us would with the best players on the planet.

In the end, we always get in our own way....most all games are won or lost due to "us" messing up or not messing up. So, your right, we are competing...it's just not against each other, it's against ourselves.

I played the ghost tonight. It's a work night, so with little time to warm up, I decided to try an defeat the ghost in 6-Ball and put this challenge to bed. I ended up running 7 racks out of the gate and thought I'd see how far I could get. I ended up missing a cut shot with extreme left english to make shape on the 6 ball and over cut the shot for a miss in the 12th rack. Here is the video, 11-0 victory in the 6-Ball ghost challenge.

I can't shoot tomorrow night but on Saturday I will have 6-7 hours to play other ghost challenges.

Nice shooting. I was in shock you made two balls on your first break, and was wondering if you figured out the 6 ball break. So I fast forwarded the rest of the video to see the rest of the breaks, and it looks like you made 2 balls once more, and 1 ball twice, for a total of 6 balls pocketed in 12 breaks. 6 ball has got to be the hardest game to make a ball on the break.

Thanks brother! I tried figuring out the break and nothing was working so I just broke like I do in 8-Ball. I did start to notice that on a perfect break it's a four rail pot in lower corner.

I enjoyed watching the six ball match. You breezed through and made it look easy.

Six ball is a little easier but, IMO, six ball gets underestimated by most. Six ball is no different than other games. It comes down to the break whether we make a ball or no, we can still have a custer if not hit at the right speeds.

Again, good shooting sir!!!

Ghost Challenge 8-Ball BIH 9 Foot Diamond Win 7-4

Well fellas, I played for 8 hours today trying to defeat the ghost 7-0 and at the 8 hour mark I decided that a victory would be good enough. I'll defeat the ghost 7-0 when my game is on. Struggled for 8 hours today. My buddy is coming over tomorrow at noon so mayby I'll sneak in a 7-0 victory before we start playing. Here is the video, hope you enjoy.

I definitely enjoyed the video.

I have no doubt you can fade the ghost to 7. I also believe if you caught your high gear you would fade the ghost to 9 or 11...maybe higher.

I look forward to seeing you catch that gear.

Good shooting:thumbup:

BTW:

Playing for 8 hours str8 takes stamina.....

Good on you for putting the energy and time in. Regardless what we do, IMO....the players that can grind away for 8 hours are the very players that will grind their opponents to a nub.

Thanks Jeff. I played 14-1 to warm up b4 my buddy came over today. Played for 5 hours, was still struggling but managed to beat him every set.

I'll put 2-3 hours in after work tomorrow and try to give the ghost a big nonut.

Cheers!
