Newbie - Gran* Brand Table

RichPundit

Casual Pool Player

Just moved to California from 25 years in Wisconsin, & after 40 years living in New Jersey. Wisconsin prefers Diamonds, & Jersey Brunswicks, 7' & 9'. My venue in California has only 8', grey Granadys(sp?). Seems Grandays were based in Georgia, & closed shop 10+ years ago.

Any info about them would be appreciated including personal experience.

The name is "GANDY" and yes they were made in Georgia. The Big G was a decent playing table just not built like a Gold Crown. Used to see them everywhere in the southern states.

The main thing I noticed about the Gandy tables was they had a spring on jump shots. The slate seemed to have a trampoline like spring making jump shots easier.
