Wow, this thread should be re-titled "what is your pet issue in pool."

I'll start

9-ball is a broken game and 10-ball is much better= myth
Personally I think in every aspect, 10 ball is a much better game than 9 ball.

Pool is dead.

Barboxes are the devil.

Better players lose because of equipment specs.

There is no money in pool.. or no way to make it profitable.

Leagues are killing pool.

You have to play better players regularly to improve.

Everyone on azb is a shortstop.

A 6-pack player regularly puts together that kind of run or close to it.

Playing in a pool hall or on nines means you're better.

More expensive equipment makes you better.

Lessons are always worth it.

The science behind pool is too complicated to prove scientific claims of products.

Gambling with a spot is for nits.

There's no money in pool.

On average they are. However if the best players of yesteryear would have come into their prime now they would surely be top players having adapted to the modern game.

I agree when it's ten ball played the right way, call shot/call safe/pass shot option

When it's played like 9 ball with one more ball then that's all it is.

I kind of disagree. I think the 10 ball rack is much more difficult to run out than a 9 ball rack. That extra ball seems to totally change the spread of the break and difficulty of the run (at least from what I have witnessed in matches as well as have experienced). I'd like to see the pros stats on break and runs in 9 ball vs 10 ball over a given sample size (tough to show I know with all the other variables). I am guessing the gap might be bigger than we think.

Playing Cue: Paul Sumrall
Break Cue: BK II
Jump Cue: Kangaroo
Case: Justis

Calling out Atlarge for b&r stats on the US Open 9 ball, vs World 10 ball.

Your answer should arrive shortly........
