Trivia Game Time-who can impress - 06-24-2010, 02:07 AM

1. Who wrote "Billiards For Everyone" copyright 1965?

2.Who wrote "History of Billiards" copyright 1974?

3.Who was on the cover of Pool and billiard magazine June 1987?

4.What year did the First edition "Blue Book of Cues" come out?

5.Who won 2010 Derby City classic 9 ball event?

Thought for once I'd start a new thread that was different and challenging?

but if you'd rather talk about same ole/same ole- like CTE, or Defection, how leagues suck,or Do nose hairs effect your stroke. or take polls like Whats your favorite....or Whats the best.....
thats cool too we could skip this
If you couldn't tell I was really bored

Is it okay for a person to guess, because I don't know a damn one of them.
1. W. Mosconi.
2. B. Byrnes.
3. Ewa.
4. 2002.
5. SVB.

Now nose hairs is something I know about. Back in the 70's my first wife used to let her's grow out until they were long enough to braid. Looked pretty cool to, with a tiny little bow on the end. Especially if you were stoned out of your mind on sensi.

naw Matt, thats not how I roll. I guessed on the mag cover, which is obviously why I didn't get 5 but over the course of the last six-eight months all I have done is look for books and follow tournaments, streams, and watch about 150 matches. Needless to say, I've looked at/for almost every publication ever printed remotely connected to this fine game.

Nice to know there's other people love the game as much as I do.

Just tried to have a different thread

Cause on T.V. you never see.....

Alex I'll take Billiard's for $1000

Not many people trying to guess.
Their probably doing something intellectual like trying to spot a hustler or finding fake Vikings or checking the word origin of "nitish"

I'm going to guess it was either Lori Jon Jones or Nick Varner on the cover.

My second guess would have been Varner.

I seem to recall he won some event early that year, but I don't recall specifics.
