Charlotte NC pool rooms - 09-27-2010, 12:35 PM

My friend and I are going to the Clemson/Miami game this weekend and will be in Charlotte all day Friday. What is the best room in Charlotte? Doesn't Allison Fisher play out of a room there? (Not that I wanted to challenge her, but you never know...).

My understanding is most of the big guns go to The Smokin Cue.

playing cues: Schon STL-20, Slamstone Cues Custom
break/jump cue: Richard J Hsu
case: Poison 4x8 Butterfly
also own: 2007 Gulyassy custom

It's on University City Blvd., right off I-485.

Rack 'em is another good pool hall if you are staying east side of Charlotte. Kelly Fisher is there on a regular basis along with Val. Sometimes Val plays in the weekly tourny there they have on Fri and Sat. The Green Room, Smokin Cue, and Rack 'em are all good rooms just different parts of town.

Probably the three top choices in Charlotte. Smokin Cue is Northeast, Rack em is East, and Green Room is South....and all 3 are right off of I-485 so all are easy access.

I think I was at Rack em a year or two ago and it was a good place and very welcoming.
