As I was reading this article in a Golf magazine...I was thinking how much this applies to the pool stroke.
I really like the term "synchronicity"....and took notice of my personal game breakdowns and how they would relate to each of the scan pictures...(on the second page of the article)
When I am "In Sync" I am fairly sure I would fall into the (image C) scan as when I am in stroke the only thing I really take note of is focus on the shot (and shot image)
When I fall out of stroke my thoughts turn toward mechanics and "why am I missing"...(image A or B)
I am not sure there is a way to completely control which scan you will fall into....However....understanding the connection between good play and scan image is something that will be beneficial in the long run.
I also wonder if this is why people have a problem transitioning over from one aiming system to another (which is causing the great divide on the forum)
If someone can't get an aiming system....GB, 3-line, CTE, or whatever.....they get so caught up in the mechanics that it puts them into scan (A) and end up with an opinion of "this will never work"
If anything....I just thought it was an interesting read.
