How is the tournament in Olathe, KS going? Anyone go to play or watch? Thanks for any info.

One pocket tournament had the biggest field ever with 40 players. The final 3 (Brian Jones, Buddy Hall, and Danny Harriman finish play at 2:30 this afternoon). The 9-ball tournament had 102 players. Evelyn got through the first round last night and played resumed at 11am this morning. Have updates once the field starts to thin.

Not a lot of people know about Jeremy Vulgamore, from Wichita, as he flies under the radar, and has a couple of ongoing problems to deal with, but he can play, and play good.
Growing up, he and Gabe played quite a bit, and most of the bets would be on Jeremy. If they were to play today, the bets would still be 50-50
locally. Jeremy has a powerful stroke (routinely can put an object ball
at the middle long rail diamond, cue ball close to spot, make the object
ball in corner, and draw the cue 4 rails to make another object ball on
the adjacent corner pocket - ON A BIG TABLE). I have played Golf with him
on a Snooker table, and he just shoots them in like they are 5" pockets,
sometimes are warp speed.
I first ran across Jeremy when he was 15 or 16, along with his Pool buddy at the time, Donnie Brown, at Greg Stevens Family Game room. I was looking for action, and Jeremy and Donnie both were rushing to play me.
They flipped and Donnie won, so I played Donnie for $10 a game on a
big table, which is rare for me. We broke even.
Later on I ran across Jeremy more and got to see his game, and it was
impressive. I kind of became friends with Donnie and Jeremy both, ran
a few months with Donnie (but that is another story), and I even
bought Jeremy's Shurtz Sneaky Pete from him when he needed money, and still have it.
Jeremy doesn't play that much nowdays, but still brings a very good game.
If he (and not just my opinion, but most in Wichita) that if he concentrated on his game, he could be on the IPT tour right along side
of Gabe.
Also, I would like some information on Jessica Fridere that won the 9 ball
for the women. I am familiar with the other 3, particulary with Rhonda
Pierce's shooting (have played against her and her brother in mixed
Scotch Doubles Valentine tournament here in Wichita), so I know that
Jessica must be a very good player to come out on top of Rhonda.

Jessica plays in most of the tournaments up here and brings a very strong game. She typically is in the top 4 up here and can give Rhonda a strong push. The finals came down to a couple of rolls going against Rhonda and a couple of very good break shots on Jessica's part.
