I'm really impressed with some of the new LTD cues of late. The wood combinations and designs are really refreshing, a few examples:

I don't know if these have been designed/built since Evan left but if that is the case I'm really impressed and think Schon is going to do just fine with out him.

Now I can't tell because these are pictures, but are those points sharper or is it just me?

Yeah, they posted a video recently showing off some new designs, they look good. I really like that LTD 1804.

Looks over the top, actually just looks flashy.
Never understood the attraction in all that decoration.
I like plain cues. Don't mind if they got four points but prefer them plain.
That stick is for shooting balls.
I very well understand if someone wants to come to a pool hall and start showing
how high a limit they have on their credit cards though.
To each his own....

Honestly my favorite is their R7ebl. 6 point ebony with a black leather wrap and black butt sleeve + butt cap

I have a buddy who has and is getting rid of the bloodwood one. I think his was either a prototype or early version of that LTD, since it is a little different (fancier). Anyway, he bought it and decided he's no longer going to play pool. Selling that cue with original shaft and a matching Mezz WX700. He also has an original Mezz Power Break, a fancy Diveney hustler, and a Pechauer break cue that are no longer being used, if anyone has interest I can get you in touch with him (he's in Canton GA, if you are in or around ATL, you can see them in person).

btw, by fancier, it's the rings....his has ivory mixed in. but not like the old ebony/ivory blocks on the older Schons. Hard to explain, I'll try asking him for pics if someone wants them

found the ended ebay auction - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/101492596449

apparently he bought it back in May

if ebay link doesn't work, I also found the different rings on the ltd 1814 on Omegas site....

Gone are the days of the old and classic looking S and R-series.
I have two old R's.
Like them both and they have that beautiful classic pool cue look.
Or, I guess, what I would consider classic - kinda Balabushka-ish look.
We're all different on this I know.
But that's about as much a decoration I can handle.....lol

Here is a screen shot of Shane and Earl at the 2014 World Cup.
Not much in ways of decoration on either one of their main cues.
They seem to do ok though.
The cue is a tool...
