About the wraps...
They are stacked leather, even Bob Runde likes them, they are hard not spongy like most leather wraps, it almost feels like no wrap at all. All my wraps are done by Amelio at craftsmen who works at Tiger Products in Burbank, the cost $250 each, there is no better wrap! Even the Gray one is Stacked Leather.
Here is a video on how it is done. This is a very basic one, others.
Bear in mind I was going through leather wraps every few years until I got the stack.
Here are the advantages:
- considerably more durable than any leather or linen wrap - does not wear out, fray or wear down like leather
- playing characteristics of a wrapless, but not sticky after break- in and it will absorb hand moisture.
- may be re-sealed for different feels.
- does not require cleaning.
- provides a firm feel and excellent grip.
