Don’t log into AZB much and realized no posts for me this year in this thread.

Two 26’s. Both in matches. Hope to get in the thirties again before year end.

28....lol

Back playing 14.1 and can't string together racks to save my life. I want to blame the very much harder table. Since the rebuild she ain't very forgiving. However the vast bulk of my misses are simple laziness.

Maybe a century before the new year.

I tried too 14.1 on our new 4 inch pockets Rasson. I made 3x 70+ but I don´t have drive to practice 14.1 now. I hope i get inspired to put some runs for this year too.
Tight pockets on 14.1 are very tolling for focus. It just drains you.

I'm only at 4.25 I believe. Maybe a hair on the tighter side. However yes, focus is the key element I'm missing.

I've gotten up to a 41 thus far. Nearly all my efforts end in a bad miss and not a bad play. Which gives me hope for a strong score before the year is out. I've fallen into this weird need to play with rhythm. Not sure why. I've always considered the concept bunk. Maybe because I know that a run nearing triple digits take a little while and I'm trying to save time...?...lol

I feel fast, confident rhythm is needed to make big runs. There is catch though. Recognizing when to slow down and think is crucial skill on 14.1..
Kinda 6th sense... of Danger! :)

Have had a few short 14.1 training sessions on a 9’ Predator Apex table. Tight pockets and bouncy rails. Managed to run a 66 today. But boy those tables don’t give out big runs easily… 😝

Today made another 66. And while trying to adjust to a LD shaft, again missed a shot with a touch of English. Blah.
Btw, my entry for this year is wrong, only 50 in the list. 🤓

49 the other day. I've barely played 14.1 this year, and when I do, i find it hard to get into that intense focus and rhythm needed for decent 14.1 runs. I've gotten the 14.1 bug a bit more now that the winter months are here and I'm not outside as much, but don't see another 100+ in the cards for 2024 tbh.

Ran 86 the other day. Pretty happy with my game. Tabled played good before refelting, but even better now. The shot I missed at the end; any thoughts on that? I think if I did make it, I would have scratched. I guess I needed to try drawing it, but it was pretty thin.

Yes, it had to be thicker to make it and so you would have had to draw (or stun) out of the scratch.

A different approach would be to shoot nearly straight at it to play it off the ball behind it. This would have broken up the rack which the cut did not do. That's probably not a shot you would play in a match though, unless the balls were closer together.
