2nd Annual Mountain State Shootout WV State 9-Ball Championship $2500 Added!

Strokerz Billiard Pub is proud to announce that it will host the 2nd Annual WV State 9-Ball Championship July 21st and 22nd 2007.
Format is as follows,
Entry fee is $100 and field is limited to the first 64 PAID players
$2500 added with full field
Texas express rules
Winner Breaks
Double elimination race to 7 finals one race to 10
Doors open at 9am
Players Meeting at 10:30
1st player auction is at 11:30
Play will start at 1pm sharp
Final 16 will play Sunday
2nd player auction will be Sunday at 1:30
Play will start Sunday at 2pm sharp
Pays top 25 % of field
There will be mini Tournaments Friday night
All Matches played on 9ft K-Steel Tables with 860 simonis and Super Arimith pro balls
Casual dress code
No Major Tournament winners, TD reserves the right to refuse any entry
On Site cue repair by Strokerz Pro Shop

Hi i was wondering how far it is to your pool room , from OC Maryland.....
Also what are the restrictions.. On players allowed to play..... Are players that have won plaet pool tournaments allowed to play or are you talking about pro tournaments.... What about lets say Mike Davis.... Just curious to see what kinda of players you are trying to draw

Hi, OC is about 4 1/2 5 hrs away from morgantown. Mike is ranked in the top 20 male pro's here on AZ so no I would not allow him to play. He has won some Major tournaments as well. It is up to me as the TD as who to refuse entry too. I will pretty much go by current rankings excluding the top 32 pros, weather it be UPA, AZ rankings or inside pool magazine or any player who has won a Major tourney in the last 5 years. Planet pool tourament winners are allowed as long as they are not Major tourney winners as well.

How about us losers!? Just kidding- wish I could make it, sounds great and I have heard those Kim Steeles are SWEET!
 
Should be some good action too. Little Shane and Nate will be there. And all the onehole players will be after the pink man.

No, This event is open to all players excluding the major tournament winners and top 32 pros;) Hope you can make it

Our tables do play great. Very consistant. Not as tight as a Diamond but they play real nice. All will be freshly recovered as well.
 
Strokerz is a great location for out of town players. There is a hotel right across the street and plenty of restraunts and bars within walking distance(if for some crazy reason you would want to leave the poolhall). I-68 and I-79 meet in morgantown and I-70 is only 30 min up 79. Should be a great event.

I heard Matt Clatterbuck is coming. Any confirmation of this and if so any predictions on who he might match up with?

I woiuld think this is almost home-court for him. I someone beats him there, they might win all the money in the State...
 
I belive Matt is coming. I haven't spoken with him my self but a good friend from VA sid he will be here
 
This will be a strong field for sure. Larry Price sent his entry in today. I have about 14 signed up so far

Maybe Jerry Slivka will be there and he and Matt can match up again. That would be awesome to watch in person. Does anyone know how they turned out last time they played? I heard Matt won . Any Specifics would be great.:D

Not sure about Matt and Jerrry I heard the played at Bill & Billies in MD and Matt won. I know Matt did real well at the PA State 9-Ball Championship earlier this month.
