$3.00 MT2 drill bit .625 dia.?

Anybody use anything like this?
At that price I went ahead and ordered one. I figure it would be an easy way to make starter holes for boring.

I'm not sure how well that would start. Normally a "core drill" is used to increase the size of an existing hole, traditionally one that was made in a casting by a casting core.

I have a few of those MT2 drills. I had the tips carbided though.
You don't START holes with them.
You bore the right diameter and you follow with that one if you want to go deeper.
IT GETS HOT FAST. It has no air behind it like a gun drill.
PECK drill and blow the chips out.
