Action in Manteca California

I dont understand why all these pool players are out running around all over the country when they can show up at one place and win enough to retire.

All you pool players need to get out to Manteca, California where Bucktooth has opened up a all new billiard room and night club and there's plenty of action!!! Instead of playing a 2-3 day tournament for a shot at a couple thousand you can come and play no limit pool at Bucktooth's place where you can win so much ca$h it's like winning every pool tournament in the United States!!!

I tried to stop in one day, I think it was a friday afternoon around 4 pm, the place wasn't even open. What are the hours of business there?

I must have missed the news; when did gambling become legal in California???
I believe a private wager on a game of skill is not against the law, but I'm not a lawyer. A friend of mine played big money matches all the time. Some shop owners wanted to close down the pool hall, which happened to be one-stop shopping for all your drug needs, so they had the police bust this guy during a money game. The judge threw the case out. Maybe it depends on which judge you get.

As for Bucktooth, there's a lot of green and gold in them thar carbuncles, but it's fearful hard to get it out. Most inveterate pool players go looney when 'Tooth hauls out his huge wad of hundreds, and then he pulls out his other huge wad of hundreds, and then the IPP goes totally crazy and gives Richard 10-7 and the hit. The wads were smaller when 1000-dollar bills were still in circulation. As for hours of operation, I don't think Bucktooth normally plays people who rise while the sun is still shining.

Bucktooth's

I'm not exactly sure when they open and was surprised to read thebigdog's post saying it was closed at 2:00 in the afternoon.

A little about the place:

They have plenty of tables, around 20, and they are very nice tables, commercial Olhausens I believe. The play great! If Tooth is there, you'll get all the action you could want and I think he's spending quite a bit of time there too. They have a full bar and it's very nice, some food but I don't think they have a grill. They have the most comfortable chairs, they are theater chairs that are stuffed and they rock and have arms. The only problem is that you might get too comfortable and fall asleep. The big problem with this place is that it is in a small town and there are not a lot of real good players there. However, Modesto isn't too far away and they have plenty of good players who will come over if they hear about any action.

stockton isnt too far either...
but well... Tooth coulg give me all the weight in the world and still kick my ass hell im only 19

Eric,

I live in Stockton and believe me, there isn't anything here. I would recommend Bucktooth's and if nothing is happening there, go to Champion Billiards in Modesto. I'd be very surprised if you don't find some action there. Kim Davenport is part owner of Champion. Tight tables and many decent players. Good luck and have fun!

Bucktooth is always there fridays and saturdays and usually there sunday monday tuesday also he'll match up with anyone onb the planet, and one thing abo0ut it you get to pick how much you want to bet. Where else in the country do you get to go bet any amount you want to bet???? Pookie beat Bucktooth so bad it was pathetic. Keith why don't you come back like Pookie did and fill up a suitcase full of hundreds???
