Has anyone ever added wgt to a Dufferin Sneaky Pete? It appears that the bumper is stuck on there and I don't want to screw it up....

There is usually a small round removable piece in the middle of the bumper that when removed exposes the screw to remove the bumper. I have 5 Dufferins and they are all the same.

Is there a weight screw in there once you get it off? I always assumed my Duffering Phantoms were a solid butt with no weight bolt.

I'll check that tonight....if the small piece is there, can you add wgt? If so, how?

The cue I have (Dufferin Phantom) does not have a smaller rubber piece on the larger bumper. The rubber bumper looks glued on. I guess I could use a razor blade and break the seal, but I wanted to make sure I knew what was under there (or inside there) before I did that.

Does anyone know if wgt can be added after the bumper is removed?

thanks, JED

I have several Phantoms (they were the standard cue I bought for my kids), maybe if I'm feeling reckless, I'll pop one of those suckers off and see what's inside this weekend.

5-21-5 I just popped the bumper one of my Dufferin Phantom. The bumper is only glued on, but you'll be disappointed with what I saw inside. There is no weight bolt only a small hole about an inch deep drilled for the bumper to be glued in. Better luck next time.
