Alias players in tournaments...

Just curious about players that use an alias in tournaments, or in some way disquise their name (for whatever reason).
My thought is, does this contribute to the shadyness of our sport, and frankly not help the image of those players that respect their name and the honor that goes with winning a tournament?
My hope is to never see a tournament winner posted with a first name and only their last name initial.
To avoid this potential shadyness, what if all recognized tournaments and their directors were to use first initials and full last names?
I'm just talking about a little integrity for our sport...

Using an alias would be a really big problem if there were any type of wagering (calcutta-personal-web based or otherwise).

When players sign up for the tournaments I run, I don't ask for an ID. Just the entry fee and then their first and last name.

If there were a calcutta that I was running, I'd ask for some IDENTIFICATION. To ensure that those that partake in the calcutta are informed about the true identy of all the players.

Integrity and consistancy... 2 key ingredients to any successful event. IMO
