As of right now, yes. When they first came on the scene and took some things over they had schedule conflicts with currently existing events... and still do a bit with the CSI USOPEN Stuff this time.
I know there are a ton of events and they need to work around those and the venues availability as well, as long as they do the best to avoid those and not purposefully schedule on top of them then I continue to see them as a good thing.
Not to mention, based on the Karl/Emily interview, it seems like she is really trying to do what the players/fans want in regards to equipment and rules and still create very marketable events to sponsors... unlike the Race to 4/Spot shot shootout Pred US Billiard Series which seems to be trying to market itself to major TV players more then being what the players and fans want. I think Matchroom found the happy medium.
And I love the template rack for the early rounds and hand racking by ref for the end rounds as well as increasing the race in the later rounds too. Bringing back the 1 balls on the spot and breaking from anywhere behind the line... love that stuff. Get to see the players string more packages.
Edit... not that my opinion really matters in any of this. I just like watching good pool. The Matchroom World format was just that.
