i need somebody to play with, preferably 9-Ball. i live 20 miles north of Jasper. i dont really care who wins, i just want some competition. hopefully you will be able to play a little bit. i've tried going to a couple of places/pool halls on friday nights where i was told there might be some action and they were both a complete joke.

any decent guys or gals out there that would enjoy an occassional game on a Gold Crown IV? someone that would enjoy not the winning or losing, but the playing and conversation about position/shots/routes, etc, etc?

one of the best unknown players in the state plays league near jasper, lemme do a criminal background check and i'll see if he meets your standards and then i'll get back to u

i would appreciate that..........

but as i work for the government and hold a clearance should i become involved with the types of things listed i could lose the clearance, and possibly the job. hope this explains my rationale a little better.

You want a pool player who isn't a drinker, pot smoker, drug user, or criminal?

Tommy Kennedy is probably available.


Wait does the arrest matter, misdemeanor or felony? Also does it matter if it was charged state or federal?

Will you be excluding juvenile records, as those probably wont show up on any checks required to park in your driveway.

What if the person who shows up knows someone who drinks, smoks pot, uses drugs, or is a criminal, known associates could cost you that clearance though.

if all one can do is make stupid comments why dont people just refrain from posting when someone is being serious?

You can get all the action (okay most of the action) you want in Terre Haute.

We have 1-pocket, 9 ball, whatever.

We have nice, but small poolroom that is no-stress, clean and well maintained.

I work for the Govt. also at Crane. I play mostly in Bloomington. Where do you play mostly? I am considered a good player in our Bloomington leagues...APA and BCA. I would consider meeting you sometime. Let me know.
 
My response was serious.

I know i'm not the first to tell you that you are a whiny player. Now you want someone who doesn't drink, blaze, no arrest record, etc. Next thing you know you will want FICO's above 650. Better yet, you don't want to travel, or want to travel real close to you. Anyone who can play has had to pay their dues and travel to get better. Not our fault you choose to live in a town where pool is not around. Many people have offered to play you but it's always to far.

Take some of your posting time and drive to a town and play for 12 hours. Or drive for a day long lesson somewhere.

since u are wanting everyone to come to u i think u should post your name so we can make sure you're not a druggie, dope peddler, serial killer, rapist, wife beater, kidnapper, cue ball assaulter etc.

are u looking for someone to play pool with or someone to date? if u are lookin for a date the least u can do is post a pic...

Terre Haute

I second Ken4Fun. Come up to terre haute and you will get some action. If i'm there i will try you some, although I usually choke for money, i prefer to have something on it to play harder. As far as it goes, anybody in the state that comes there will get some action.
 
I'm in Princeton and I've got a table. Not as nice as a Gold Crown though.

I believe it was Uncle Sam who told DCP where his home would be...glad his BRAC worries are over, BTW!

DCP- one of the best feelings is driving for hours, getting out of the car and playing your best pool. Of course, spending a whole morning, day, night playing and loosing, then driving back- as a loser- happens sometimes too!

Get in the car and punish someone!
Edit- but don't punish the someone with the car!

at $3.25 a gallon gasoline, those long road trips get very, VERY expensive! but i do agree with some of you guys on this, i do need to get out to places and play.

DCP, I've mentioned that several times. I think you'll find you're not the only one that gets bad rolls. Such is pool.
