any predictions who will win?

i gotta go with corey deuel. hes playing in form again and that means he can win anything.

As always I'm rooting for Max Eberle.

But lately it seems like Efren's been tearing things up both here and abroad, so I can't help but think he's going to rise to the top once again.

Several would be favorites not playing

Reyes is not playing, as is Parica, Bustamante and Alex Pagauyan according to players list.

Last year a group of guys came from Spain for the Amatuers. I belive two placed First and Third.
My money will be on those guys, strong players, nice guys... I had a chance to gamble with three of them, playing $100 sets; We played both 8 and 9 ball, its just so damn easy to make everything you shoot at on bar tables, the only thing thats hard is the speed of the rock.
Anyway I think the guy who won goes to the Masters, but Im not sure what percentage of the top get to go to the masters division.
And didnt Allison Fisher win the BCA Pro 9-ball event there last year? I remember seeing her name on the brackets at the top, and she moved easily along to the hot seat. But didnt pay attention to who won.
Bar tables are for hacks that dont like to aim.

Actualy, Allison hasn't won the BCA Open since 1999.

i'm rooting for tony to make a repeat in the men's division.

as far as the amatuers..............my three picks are chris loar(is he playing), bj ussery(is he playing?), and of course our very own "the one"

VAP

Well, I'm already ont he record on this forum as having predicted Corr and Pagulayan, but as I've now learned Alex is not in the field, let's go with Karen Corr and Rodney Morris.

Hmmm...I think Corr will make it to the finals, but my V-cash says a newer face wins it. I don't know enough about the boys to say...I'll go with Tony right now.

Might just be, birthday girl. The dream final for me, speaking as a fan holding a VIP ticket to the final, is Jasmin Ouschan vs Kelly Fisher.

SJM-

While your money might be on Karen, shouldn't your heart be on another lady? Alternating break, different equipment than the usual Brunswick tables, and alot of recent playing exposure? I know I'm rootin' for her to take the cheese!! Surely her and Karen would be your dream final, i know that her and anyone in the finals would be my dream match.

Alot of top players in the pro event but I think that Chia Chang Wu is going to shock alot of the American crowd and put on a show. He is as good as anyone there and is used to playing in events with Reyes, Busta, Yang, and all the other top asian players that most of the BCA field is happy are not showing up. Wu has placed high in events on the San Miguel beating one top international star after another. The only thing that I wonder about is how he will handle the alternate break.

As for the Masters, I chose to not care so much. I think any player who is not allowed to play in the Masters division due to being ranked as a pro should be allowed to play in the pro event by paying a $500 entry fee or so. Montal and other top players are boycotted from playing in the masters and yet they are not allowed to play in the pro event. You have the entire spectrum of player skill covered and yet there is a small window where a select few people are totally screwed and not able to enter any of the events at all. It is wrong. Dave Martin simply for the record, he can win it.

I like the KID from SD to do well........will be cheering for him.....in the Mens Masters........maybe repeat the VNEA

The Winners Will Be!

The Men's pro winner will be I hope Charlie Williams

The Lady pro winner will be I hope Kelly Fisher or Wendy Jans.

The only thing I know about the masters is there are to many pros
playing in it for the true amateurs to have an equal chance to win it just like the regional tours.
