Strokers in Palm Harbor wednesday night 9-ball is probably the best in town. However, it's quite a haul if you're coming from Brandon. You could check out Capone's. I believe they have a tough monday night 10-ball tourney.

There's a Thursday night open 9-ball tourney at DJ's Family Billiards on Main St. in New Port Richey which is about 15 miles south of Capone's. You never know how many people are going to show up for this one - one week there might be 20 or more, next week 9 or 10. Anyway, it's usually races to 4 and it pays anywhere from 2 to 6 places depending on how many people are in it. (5412 Main Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652, 727-849-8280)

A friend of mine's been going to a handicap tournament at a new room, Big O's Billiards 11780 Dale Mabry Highway North, Tampa, FL 33618, (813) 961-2446) on Sunday afternoons. He says they usually have a big turnout.

Big O's on Sunday is a pretty good sized tourney. I dont know of too many others but do think there should be more in Tampa. Driving over to Pinnelas county is a pain.

If you want to travel 70 miles south of Bradenton Diamond Billiards in Cape Coral has Sunday 8 ball at 1pm and 9 ball around 6pm.
Also next weekend is the Viking Tour stop. Saturday and Sunday 3/15 and 3/16.

Any more...Thanks Ron

Where in Tampa are you coming from and how far do you want to travel?

Like someone else already said, Strokers in palm harbor is probably the best 9ball tournament around on Wednesday nights.

oh yea strokers 2 has a big 9ball tournament on Tuesday nights, I heard it's like the Wednesday tournament in palm harbor but strokers 2 is in Tampa.

and.... if your interested in 8ball, Strokers has a good turn out for there monday night 8ball tournament and I think Hammerheads in New port richey has an 8ball tournament on thursday nights (on 7ft tables).

2 weeks ago I played in the 8ball tournament at strokers on monday night and there was 26 people in it... which isn't bad
