I guess there will be a press release out in a day or two with the schedule for the Legends and Champions Pool Tour in the Mid West. However as some of you know I like to find out what kind of food the area we are going to is famous for. In new Mexico it seemed everyone asked if we had Chilli, We knew about TX and the BBQ (almost everywhere is friggin awesome with their brisket mmm kinda hungry). So what is the Mid West specialty? I know Corn but that may be out of season.
Chicago has something and we will be there is it hot dogs?? Anyway at this point we will be going to Toledo, Columbus, Chicago, Decator, ILL, Des Moines, Iowa and Oklahoma City.
If you are in that town and know some great local food maybe we can all go out and have a banquet together :) Let me know, and I am not sure how pool related this is Sorry guys n Gals .

So is the Mid West best known for their Steaks?? I also heard Hot dogs in Chicago. Sorry I grew up in England and don't have the same knowledge as most people. Anyway, thanks I hope we are close buy and that you are paying ;)

Don't forget to try real Chicago-style pizza while you're here. There's a lot of places out there, any fellow Chicagoans have a personal favorite?

Deep dish pizza!!!! Edwardo's

1212 N Dearborn St
Chicago, IL 60610
Phone: (312) 337-4490
Fax: (312) 345-8522

Steaks, Hot dogs, Pizza, Pretty Women, Pool...we've got it all here.
I'll take you all out and then play JA for the tab. I heard he's easy action.

Breaded Tenderloins, pickles, veggies, chicken, etc.

The midwest is really known for how they love to put breading around any and everything and deep fry it. If you want one hell of a Breaded Tenderloin, homade onion rings, and or about anything else you can think of send me a pm and I'll let you know. It is inbetween Decatur and Indianapolis. The place also was voted for the best Prime Rib in the area.

Hey T Wheels, send me a copy of the PR, will ya? I will put it you know where.

I think Gibsons is probably a little above their budget, pocketbilliards!:D Mark...you guys up for $100-$150 a head for dinner? Gibsons is on the same plane as Mortons and Ruths Chris! Where you ought to go, if you do anything at Chris' on Milwaukee, is up to the Blue Angel. All the players have eaten there. Nothing special, but pretty good food.

Midwest

By Big Dogs in DesMoines there is a good steak house...think it's called Iowa Steakhouse or something. It's really close to Big Dogs. It's good and has huge steaks.

If you blow through Omaha, Ne let me know. There are numerous great steakhouses. I've been all over and can never find steak or prime rib like we have here in the midwest. Cows are yummy:wink:

Since when is $100 a plate over a pool players budget? This is what's wrong with pool today imo...attitude? No one wants to see anybody else get ahead or enjoy themselves.

Scott Lee, take a poll and ask how many women out there think $100 dollars a plate is over their budget.

Pool players do live the high life no matter what you think.

Long live the real players!

I agree, I had a conversation with Kim Davenport about this last year at a real nice dinner. He said he has lived like a millionaire since he started playing. I have known Kim for 23 years and he is telling the truth, he dresses great too.

My story:

Before I made any money I still ate at real expensive resteraunts, not as often but probably 2 times a month back in the day, we would leave the pool room and go to top shelf joints and eat what ever we wanted, I never short changed my self at resteraunts.

I remember when I was 18 up in Sacramento going with my buddy from the Jointed Cue to the sushi bar we would blow $200-$300 and split the tab, all I owned in my front pocket-Going to nice places to eat fired me up to play better and win more $$$-the risk/reward life style.

Since I have been sucessful in biz I do eat more often at nice places, thats one of my main motivations to do good, I dont like shit food.

I dont dress good.

Just down the street a few blocks.... best steak in town. Smallest is 20 oz. on up to 28oz T-Bone. I have heard rumor that the dessert there is good as well, but I haven't ever made it that far.

When will you be in Des Moines? I would love to be there.

We almost did Nebraska this time but by the time we get there we will have been on the road working non stop for over 2 weeks. Believe it or not Johnny and Earl are very careful about getting burned out and not being able to put on a good show. They would rather leave the $4 on the table than dissapoint. I am sure that at some point Nebraska will be on the list. Thanks for the support though,
