I'm coming to Atlanta this Saturday for the Alabama/Clemson game at the Georgia Dome. Is there any poolhalls near the Dome? I'm taking the MARTA train in so it has to be in close walking distance.

i'm not sure about right near the dome, but if you ask at the hotel i believe marta can get you to mr. cues. it's on chamblee tucker. good place, bruswick 8 and 9 footers - most of them brand new with new simonis, a few of the 9's are tripple shimmed. i'll do some checkin and if someone recomends something else near there i'll pm you.

I can't think of any rooms near the Dome. The rooms you're looking for are all outside the perimeter (I-285) to varying degrees, and the Dome is pretty much dead center. And none of those rooms are within walking distance of any of the train stations.

Are you staying overnight? There's a big Viking event near there this weekend. I can pick you up and get you there if you want.

You want to get yourself to Mr. Cues 2 any way possible. They have the lunch special from 11:00 am to 3:pm Monday thru Saturday so can buy lunch or pay $5.00 and play. The Gold Crown 4's are all brand new. The Viking Tour was last week there with a full house of good shooters. Have fun.

We're staying the night in Douglasville more than likely, but not sure yet since my roommate hasnt gotten the room yet. So I might just be in for Saturday only.

Is there a Mr. Cues 1 and a Mr. Cues 2?

I was in Atlanta recently and don't know if I went to the 1 or 2. It had about 15 GC FIVES and anther 20 or more GC Fours.

Later when I went online to look up Atlanta pool rooms, I came across Mr. Cues Billiards and Burgers, and also Mr. Cues 2.

So can someone in the know explain if there are indeed 2 rooms with "Mr. Cues" in the name, or are they the same place with a change in ownership, or something else.

Thanks.

I believe there's just the one room, but I know it's not the original location. There used to be a Mr. Cue's up I-85 a few exits, many moons ago. I don't know whether the current room opened while the old one was still around (hence became #2) or if they simply moved and decided since it was the second location...

The other site is actually still open, but is a mainly latino room under a different name, I believe.

Mr. Cues II is definitely the closest nice room to go to. You would enjoy it and lunch deal is killer. Obviously not within walking distance.

The Pool Room (has since been renamed) is located in Marietta and there is a newer Pool Room in Duluth.
