Banks: what tip is preferred?

Captain, Short rack banks is my "game of choice". I use the same cue I play 9Ball with, and it, until last week, had Moori III Quicks on it. They worked great for banks. Last week I changed over to Talisman Pro Hards... they work just as well. But, truthfully, before the layered tips, I used Triangles... they worked well also.

So, just use whatever YOU feel more comfortable with. I don't really think there is one tip that is better for bank pool than any other, it's just what the player prefers.

Later,
Bob

PS: The Talisman Hards seem to be a bit softer than the Moori Quicks, but pretty close. I may go back to Moori, not because I think they are vastly superior, but because I like that snappy crisp hit when I shoot.

Medium Moori

That's what seems to work best for me. It is also the same shaft and tip combination I use for other games. One of my friends said he prefers a Talisman on a Predator shaft. I personally only like the predator for breaking. It all depends on what you like. Sam
