So, for 500$-600$ what grade of shaft do i got? it's already grade A or i have to add some dollar?

Current prices right now are $900 for the butt and a Grade A shaft.I have about 30 cues being built now. About 18 of them are already spoken for. I only have 2 that are completed that are not sold yet.

Butt cap bulge

Is that made from linen phenolic of different colors? Or bone or horn?

Whatever it is-an interesting twist. I take it-that area could be customized to customer specs(ridges/grooves etc)?

Take care

Personally I like the looks of that little Butt Bump, but .... That cue would not fit in my Whitten, Castillo, or Dennis Swift cue case. They certainly wouldn't fit in the butt down position, which I use as my preferred cue holder.

Barioni Cues...Yep, you're full of it all right...but we'll just leave it at that. BTW, another cuemaker who posted right after me, thinks the same thing I do...and said so. I'm not knocking your cuemaking ability...just your physics knowledge...which is lacking. Leave the last two items off your "marketing list", and you'll do fine.

I have talked to Joe before and I am very curious on how his cues play, he is only 15/20 minutes away from me since I live in Newman. Got to pay him a visit one of these days but I am busy as well setting up my shop.
When you do a comparison on LD shafts make sure you have side by side Predators, Tigers, OB, Mezz, Cuetecs, etc, etc. There is a lot to choose from.
Wood ferrules are not for me to be honest with you. I prefer a stiff solid hit with good feedback.
Your cues look nice. Looking forward to meet you in person and having a beer with you. Good luck on your cue building.

I was doing this back in 2002 and 2003. I dont believe OB was even out yet! Any ways, A bunch of the players, and I mean a bunch of the players on the Modesto BCA League and Modesto Tavern League have seen and used these wood ferrules way before OB was out. Any ways if you go on to my youtube sight you will see wooden ferrules like you have never seen before.

Joe,
You might not know that but even before you started doing cues Dave Kikel was already doing wood ferrules.
Here is a picture of a cue I used to own.

Mr. Barioni,
Bad Physics and poor marketing approach. A little creative license people can life with...your approach is over the top and is loaded with suspect science. Your producing a LD shaft by bringing down end mass. The balance is fluff.

Your marketing campaign masked as a poll was painful enough. Though I find it personally distasteful do it the way the other do.

Then second the shaft starts to bend. This bending or flexing of the shaft allows the cue ball to go straighter decreasing cue ball deflection. Hit the ball off center and two things have to happen. The cue ball moves or the shaft moves. When the shaft bends or moves it is like the tip compressing. It allows the tip to stay in contact just 1/1000th of a second more. .
Sorry Joe, ALL WRONG.
When you hit the cueball to the side, the tip deflects off the cueball and the cueball squirts off the tip.
It's simple physics Predator already proved eons ago. Make the front of the shaft really lightweight so at the point of impact, the tip DEFLECTS away from the cueball before the cueball deflects off the tip ( it still does of course at certain amount ).
That's why Predator and OB1 shafts do not make for good masse' and jump shafts b/c when you trap that ball hard, their tips would not stay in contact long enough on the ball . They deflect OFF the cueball faster than regular stiff shafts.
In conclusion, the less time that tip is on that cueball, the less it would squirt.
I don't know why you're even comparing corked bats. Corked bats allowed for batters to swing thru the zone FASTER, with their regular size bats . It has nothing to do with contact time. Just acceleration with a little less WEIGHT on the bats.

Personally, I don't particularly appreciate opening a poll thread in the main forum only to find I've been suckered in to a sales pitch. I also get a kick out of you being new here and jumping on some highly respected members of this board.

Do all of us a favor and keep your sales pitches in the For Sale forum. Oh, and buy a Club Membership. Since the only reason you are here is to move product it is the least you can do.

Just an observation, you don't need a Meucci or a cork filled shaft to draw a full table length after pocketing a ball.

I can't see this bringing in too many customers. This audience is usually more educated than your average local pool-playing population. The claimed idea/intent is great, but the absolute best way to a pool-player's heart is through test-hitting. Reserve one of your cues to be sent out to a few of the more well-respected forum members (like Scott Lee) and let them post reviews (or have them send you their reviews and post the collection of reviews in one big review post when the cue gets back). That way you're establishing a reputation quickly (which obviously appeals to you) and respectfully.

The way you're doing it now, I can't see you succeeding on these boards. Again, I like the claimed idea/intent of super-low deflection and a sweet hit, but that's why I own an OB Classic Pro. It has a sweet hit and fairly low deflection. If I remember right, I saw a couple reviews from respected forum members (like TATE) before Royce released the shafts for retail. He let his products and testers speak for themselves.

i'm guessing since scott likes ob shafts he'll like barioni's cues.

Of course, assuming what Mr. Barioni claims is true. Hell if every claim and statement a cuemaker/assembler said about their cues was true, we'd all be playing with a Varney so we wouldn't get beat by one.

Thanks for your input. I'll try to do the 5 things you listed. I am new to this forum stuff and it may take a while. I will agree to disagree on the science stuff. I can prove you wrong here. I am going to spend some time
making a you tube video to show this. I am also planning on taking a testing robot to some trade shows to let people see this in person.
